I have enjoyed the time spent researching the subject matter of ductal carcinoma in situ, and continue to pursue this topic into further (more advanced and specific) areas. It has become my “pet,” and not working on it further almost seems wrong!
I am looking forward to more research papers. I would like to write a paper on Crouzon Syndrome, as I have recently found out that my grandson suffers from this disease, which fuses the cranial bones too soon (or born fused), and is awaiting surgery now. He is suffering from headaches due to the brain not having room to grow, and has just begun to experience spells of dizziness/vertigo from the pressure placed on the mechanisms of the ears. This has interfered with his schooling, and recently he was taken out of public school for home schooling until surgery has been performed. Surgery is tentatively scheduled for the end of January 2010. However, trying to coordinate all the surgeons involved in this procedure has been a nightmare, and we are still awaiting final notice as to date and time of the surgery. This child will have the cranial bones split, titanium mesh placed between the bones, orbital reconstruction, and at some point in the future oral surgery as well. He will have to undergo a second cranial surgery in his teens after growth has stopped in order to set the bones permanently.

Yes this writing process had been very exhausting. I'm sorry to hear about your grandson. I'll keep you and your family in prayer. Just remember to let go and let GOD. I wish you the best of luck in your schooling and family!!
ReplyDeleteBless his heart! May the surgery be completely successful and without issue, now and in the future.
ReplyDeleteBest of everything in the future to you and yours.
